What the stars mean
Within the Utah 10, a star is a further distinction. It recognizes builders whose completed work warrants particular attention.
The distinctions

- Exceptional. Homes of outstanding quality and character; worth seeking out.
- ★★Unawarded
- Rare. Among the very finest builders in the state; worth a special journey.
- ★★★Unawarded
- The pinnacle. Reserved for builders whose work redefines the category.

How evaluation works
Evaluation draws on public-source research — Utah licensing records, public review profiles, parade participation, and firm-published information — supplemented by firsthand observation of homes where we say so. Stars are awarded when earned, not on a schedule.
